Terms & Conditions

By purchasing a ticket or participating in an Ottawa Hunts activity, users are agreeing to the follow terms and conditions:

Ottawa Hunts (by Lockdown Ottawa Escape Rooms) creates digital experiences that incorporate elements from local neighbourhoods in Ottawa. To complete these activities, players will be required to traverse publicly accessible areas and observe publicly visible clues. Ottawa Hunts is not responsible for any hinderances to the normal pedestrian paths that may occur due to temporary weather changes, construction, road blocks, etc. Any longterm obstacles that would hinder players will be considered by Ottawa Hunts, and adjustments to the game will be made, as necessary. These hinderances and obstacles will not be grounds for a refund and, in most cases, the activity can simply be played at a later date. All ticket purchases shall be considered as final sale at the time of purchase and will not be eligible for refund. Credit may be given towards an alternate experience, on a case-by-case basis, if the activity must be cancelled and at the sole discretion of Ottawa Hunts.

Age Requirements

While Ottawa Hunts activities are fun and accessible for players of all ages, we recommend having at least one player in each group over the age of 16. For groups that include children, we recommend using reasonable caution while walking down the streets, especially if visibility is hindered by weather or time of day. The players shall bear full responsibility for their safety and actions during the activity and where these players are minors, the adult who purchased the experience shall bear full responsibility for the safety and actions for any minors in the group.

Playing on public property

The following commonsense rules shall apply during all outdoor activities

  • Players must obey any pedestrian laws or bylaws including, but not limited to, obeying traffic lights, stop signs and only crossing roads at marked pedestrian crosswalks.
  • Players must not enter onto any public property that is restricted to the public, usually denoted by clear signage.
  • Players should be respectful of their surroundings, including other participants in the activity, other pedestrians, cyclists, motorists, etc.

The list above is not exhaustive, but merely presented to highlight the most likely foreseeable public concerns. It is the player's responsibility to be aware of any laws, bylaws or other public restrictions that apply in the area of the activity.

Unless otherwise specified, at no time will players be required to enter into private property to complete a task or search for clues. In instances where you are asked to enter onto or nearby to private property, your presence may be restricted at the sole discretion of the property owner and any of their rules or policies. If entering onto or nearby to private property, please be respectful of said property and mindful of any time restrictions that might be in place.
